Sapa to Noi Bai Airport- Hanoi

I hung out in my room until about 11:30 – I waited until the drizzle stopped. I am pretty sure I picked the worst three days of the year to come to Sapa!  It was 4 when I left at 1:30 and it’s already up to 11 at 9 pm!  It wasn’t close to 11 in the three days I was there!  I dropped my stuff off at the bus meeting spot and went next door for butter chicken and naan.  It was mediocre-

The bus is much like the one I came on-

The views were awesome-

I only got one picture of a cemetery. There was a Vietnamese man from Los Angeles on my bus who explained that there are no rules for land owners meaning you can do whatever you want on your property so there are some private graveyards and lots of public ones. They are mainly Buddhist tombs –

We stopped at two different rest-stops.  She was actually making a thin wafer type cookie with a rotating waffle iron-

You can’t get any fresher than that!

The Vietnamese love their lights.  Power must be cheap.  This is at a roundabout-

The bus I booked dropped us all off at the airport.  I think I got off a little too soon but eventually found my hotel-

The room is typical-

and very clean.

It's in an area crowded with hotels about half a mile from  the airport.  There are restaurants, pharmacies, homes, roosters, mini marts and lots of hotels in the crowded area.  The family's kitchen is wide-open right behind the check in desk and the kids play with their toys in the lobby.

My flight leaves at 10:45 am for Taichung, Taiwan.  I’m looking forward to a brand new country for me!

P.S.  It was the U7 windup yesterday after the kids vs Moms hockey game. Andi got the award for fastest-

and Hayes won best fight?
