Playa Del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico   December 21, 2023

I had a lousy sleep which thankfully doesn’t happen too often.  This meant I had a slow start so it wasn’t until about 11 that I left to do my errands.  I  bought another piece of 3 Leches cake from Chaudraui but it wasn’t as good as yesterday's, either because I knew what to expect or it was a day old.   I’m not sure but I won’t be getting another one for a while.  From Chedraui I went to a pescaderia and bought a huge fillet of Colorado which is some kind of white fleshy fish.  It was delicious cooked in butter and garlic.  I stopped at a nail shop I had scoped out yesterday and they had time to gelish my toes.  It took almost an hour and only cost 200 pesos or $15.59.  The woman did the best job I have ever had taking care to deep clean the edges of my toes.

After, I dropped my purchases off at my fridge and walked to Playa car to visit Bill and Sue Crippin.  Bill is Tammey Heinemann's brother.  I don't think I’ve seen them since we stayed with them in Calgary when Nico played summer hockey so thats about 20 years ago!  I had the right address but google maps messed with me a bit.  If I wasn’t blind I would have spotted their place sooner but ended up having to call after knocking on a few doors.  Eventually Bill came and found me and we ended up having a great visit.

Along the way home-

I had a late lupper and will spend the night reading.  I had an excellent day and am looking forward to tomorrow!
