Cat Ba Island, Vietnam

Cat Ba Island is in Halong Bay which is known for 366 or so karst islands.

Lunch was on a floating restaurant.  

You pick what you want to eat from baskets-

or nets-

There were numerous options drying in the sun-

This is what I chose - mantis

Delicious!

The boat trip around the islands was nice.  There are caves-

and sandy beaches-

I even got to try hand fishing-

but I didn't catch anything!  

The town of Cat Ba is quite nice-

There are numerous boats in the harbor-

The sunset was beautiful!

The day was very relaxing!  Looking forward to catamaraning tomorrow!  Hope the wind stays up!
