I decided to leave my camera in the bag of rice for 2 days and to check if it worked as we entered the shopping mall parking lot in Dar Es Salaam where there is a camera store. Luckily it works, well, sort of....

See what I mean?? No, I wasn't being artistic! Sometimes the shutter opens all the way, sometimes it doesn't. I hope it will work itself out, eventually!
There are modern malls like I'm used to, but most shopping is done 'market' style. Used clothes are sold everywhere.
We've been warned not to leave the resort compound-
The pool is salt water and warm like a bathtub. It's relief from the heat and humidity-
