Istanbul, Turkey

I am not time travelling but I couldn't help post this picture of home.  What a disaster!

We were on our way early this morning, heading to Istanbul.  Here is the view-

It only took 1h45 minutes at the border to get into Turkey.

The Turkey countryside.  It's harvest time!

Istanbul, a very modern city of 12, 500, 000-

Shopping anyone?

Beautiful flowers adorn the boulevards and sides of the streets-

Finally a stop sign in another language!

We're spending 3 nights here in a hostel in the old town.  The Blue Mosque, Aya Sofya and the Grand Bazaar are just around the corner!  I've already picked out a carpet!  It's Ramadam so after sunset the people are finally able to eat.  The parks are full!

The Blue Mosque at night-

Very much looking forward to tomorrow!
