Pokhara, Nepal

We are still in Pokhara but had to change hotels this morning for our last night here.  This is the lock on our door!

Marianne and I went to a free one hour meditation. It was a lot different than what I am used to.  We danced to get our 'energy flowing', we put our hands on our 7 chakras while chanting 'ommmmmm', we danced some more, we did some panting type breathing while placing our hands on our chakras and then finished by laying down, relaxing to Nepalese music and a singing bowl.  Interesting.

These are the Himalayas - the Annapurna range.  It includes the 8,091 m (26,545 ft) Annapurna I, thirteen additional peaks over 7,000 m (22,970 ft) and 16 more over 6,000 m (19,690 ft).  It's a 55 km-long (34 mile long) massif.  Annapurna means "full of food" or "Goddess of the Harvests".

Tonight we're celebrating James' birthday and off to Chitwan National Park tomorrow morning.
