Darjeeling, Siliguri, India

We left Darjeeling at 9 am to return to Siliguri, but not before this-

Darjeeling tea is famous throughout the world.  I'm not a tea drinker, so I couldn't waste rupees on it, but it's available in green, black, white and oolong.  If it is made correctly, it produces a thin bodied, light in color liquid with a floral aroma.

After a couple of hours, we came to a traffic jam.  Apparently around 7 am, a Grade 9 student had been hit and killed by a vehicle and the driver fled the scene.  You've seen pictures of the traffic here -the drivers are all crazy!  So, the students and adults of the area were protesting, yelling that they wanted 'justice' and threatening to destroy any vehicle that tried to pass-

Finally at 4 pm, we were able to continue on to Siliguri where we're spending the night.
