Popayan, Colombia, October 18, 2017

It was a long drive day, even though we only drove 317 kilometers-

First day on the truck-

There are 4 seats right at the front and an exit door on either side.  The truck is roomy and comfortable-

Sometimes we were on 4 lane highway, sometimes only 2.  Sometimes flat and straight but most of the time windy and up and down-

There are very large silver leaved trees along the way-

This is sugar cane country and it's in a variety of stages-

Some is being harvested-

They use gigantic trucks with 5 cars full of cane-

Looking forward to my first night of camping and discovering Popayan tomorrow!
