Guanaqueros to Santiago, Chile, December 16, 2017

We left our nice campsite at 8 this morning for a 7 hour drive to Santiago.  At first we were along the coast, so it was misty, grey and cloudy.  Then we turned inland and the sun came out.  

Along the way-



We're staying in a very central hostel and I really appreciate that.  Of course, my first stop-


On the way home, a wedding had just happened at the Iglesia Merced.  It's neo Renaissance architecture and was constructed in 1795.  I like the contrast of old and new-


I wandered around the city centre and came back to the hostel, hopefully for a good night's sleep, in a bed!
